Not a happy camper.
We just got a letter in the mail from Fannie Mae. Seems that they have been given our mortgage. Oh, we'll still send our payments to GMAC, but since GMAC is backed by Fannie Mae (not to mention how GM itself is owned mostly by the government now), and Fannie Mae is an automaton of the Federal Government...

Yeah. Until we get out from under this mortgage, our house and land is owned by the government. And that sucks.

being that ALL banks are back by the gov't, then the gov't owns all property. I wouldn't get all worked up over it (DAN!), @ least you don't have eminent domain precedent looming over ur head, unlike me :)

Eminent domain is coming for your house?!?!?!? OMG, let them *have* it!!!! *lol* Uhm, that is, if they'll give you a decent amount for it...

LOL! I wish! But that is the problem with ED, they pay what THEY think is fair. If it wasn't for that I would be asking the town/county/state "hey, you want to put something here?" LOL!
